Nansemond-Suffolk Academy celebrates the community’s generosity in support of our mission and vision through the years. We strive daily to preserve NSA’s history and tradition while at the same time moving our school forward into our next 50 years. While we look to the future, we are ever mindful that our Saints stand on the shoulders of all the alumni, corporations, donors, foundations, grandparents, parents, parents of alumni, trustees and friends of NSA who came before us.
Like other independent schools, NSA relies on a tradition of philanthropy to help us fulfill our goal of preparing students for their bright futures, to support the operating budget and to fund campus and program development. While tuition provides a portion of the income required for an NSA education, the school relies on donations and non-tuition revenue to fund the remainder of the operational budget. Through donations to the school, programs are strengthened and faculty and staff are provided with the tools necessary to teach students at the highest level, both inside and outside of the classroom.
There are several major areas of support for NSA philanthropy:
- Annual Giving
- Capital Giving
- Planned Giving
- Special Events/Clubs (Auction, Art Show and Sale, Golden Saints, Golf Tournament and Royal Saints)
Nansemond Suffolk Academy's Office of Advancement is responsible for overseeing the fundraising for the school. Specifically, the Office of Advancement is responsible for raising money for NSA through fundraising campaigns and special events and recruiting volunteers to assist with events
We invite you to become involved and invest in NSA by making a gift to support our students. Your commitment, at any level, helps to make a difference in the lives of our Saints. Nansemond-Suffolk Academy is a 501(c) 3, non-profit organization. For more information on making a gift to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, please contact the Office of Advancement at 539-8789 ext. 3234.
