Teaching Assistant Kimberly Work
Josh Webb

“NSA fosters an environment of honor, respect, integrity and community. Students, faculty, and staff are challenged each day to be the best version of themselves and to push beyond boundaries to promote personal growth. I am inspired by the level of commitment and dedication teachers give to their students, and the reciprocated love students have for their teachers. The NSA community is a family above all else, and I feel grateful to be a part of it as a teacher and a parent.”

Kindergarten Teaching Assistant, Main Campus

Kimberly Work was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. She attended Collegiate School from kindergarten through grade 12 and graduated with the class of '99. Mrs. Work continued her higher education at James Madison University and earned a bachelor of science in psychology and human resources in 2003. Upon graduation, she worked seven years in human resources and management before taking time off to raise her two boys. Her husband's naval career brought them to the Hampton Roads area in 2006. Their oldest son began his educational journey at Nansemond-Suffolk Academy in 2013, at which time Mrs. Work began playing an active role in the NSA community through volunteering in and out of the classroom. When their youngest son entered the NSA Pre-K3 program in 2017, Mrs. Work took on a new roll as a kindergarten instructional assistant. She and her husband, Nick, reside in Suffolk, VA, and are proud parents of Michael '28 and Andrew '32.
