New coloring book made by children, for children, teaches Suffolk history

A group of middle school students is creating a coloring book this summer to highlight significant events in Suffolk and make it fun for younger children to learn about local history. The Suffolk History Coloring Book is a collaboration of the Suffolk-Nansemond Historical Society and Suffolk Art League. About a dozen students participated in a weeklong camp June 26 to 30 at the Suffolk Art Gallery.
