Lady Saints win big

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s girls’ basketball team went on the road Friday evening and got a 63-12 win over Steward School.

The Lady Saints are on a three-game winning streak. NSA’s performance was impressive on many counts. Due to the snow storm last week, the Lady Saints had a game canceled, and while school was out, they couldn’t practice either. In a limited week, the Lady Saints were able to secure a big win.

“We came out well and defensively we did a good job getting in the passing lanes,” Lady Saints coach Kim Aston said. “We did a good job creating turnovers, and offensively we came out shooting the ball extremely well.” To continue reading the article in The Suffolk News-Herald, please click here.
