Moore stands out for size, leadership at Nansemond-Suffolk

At 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds, Keshaun Moore stands out for obvious reasons. The senior linebacker/fullback was the largest player on Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s roster.
“He is a man amongst boys, especially at our level,” Nansemond-Suffolk coach Mike Biehl said. Moore’s size was one of the first things that stood out to the first-year coach this past season. But Biehl quickly noticed something else about his star.
After graduating 17 players from a team that won the 2015 VISAA Division III state title, Nansemond-Suffolk was filled with youth. Biehl estimated 11 of his 26 players were freshmen, with only five seniors on the roster. The Saints longed for leadership. And Moore provided just that by taking young players under his wing.
