NSA LB Daniel Griffith Decides to Walk on at Virginia Tech

For Nansemond-Suffolk Academy linebacker Daniel Griffith, high school football was a roller coaster. He was known as an excellent athlete early on. His combination of strength and speed at a young age bode well for his recruitment to college. Daniel (SR LB 6-1 225) spent his ninth grade year as a linebacker and quarterback on the junior varsity at Western Branch. He graduated to the varsity in tenth grade and saw a lot of time at quarterback in Greg Gibson’s Double Wing offense. His passing improved along the way (the double wing is more of a run oriented offense) and the Bruins were 17-6 in those two seasons.
