Little Summer Saints

Age 3 - Rising Grade 1
Weekly sessions May 29 — August 17
Main Campus and Harbour View Campus

Fee: $240 per week*

Our Little Summer Saints will learn, grow and play all summer in a safe and friendly environment on the NSA campuses. Under the direction of our loving and nurturing summer staff, they will hone fine and gross motor skills through fun activities like painting, paper crafts, sports and indoor and outdoor guided play. Every Wednesday is water day where the Little Summer Saints enjoy water play.

Extended care options are available from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. for an additional fee. Campers will need to pack their own nut-free lunch Monday through Friday. A healthy snack plus fruits and vegetables will be offered twice a day. 

All campers must be potty trained to participate.

*May 29 - June 1 (Week 1), the fee is $192; July 2 - 6 (Week 6) the fee is $192.

Main Campus

Our specialty camps provide Summer Saints and CIT campers with numerous options to pursue their interests or discover new talents. Morning and afternoon sessions are offered. 
Morning care is available from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., and afternoon care is available from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A healthy snack plus fruits and vegetables will be offered in the morning and afternoon. Full-day participants will need to pack a nut-free lunch Monday through Friday and will be escorted to lunch and their afternoon activity by the camp counselors.

Students in rising grades 9-11 may apply to be a CIT and can attend camp at a discounted rate. They will assist the teachers and counselors in the camp of their choice and will have a lot of fun at the same time! Please complete the CIT application prior to registering. Upon acceptance as a CIT, a discount code will be provided that can be used during registration.

    July 30: Come experience a day of fun and adventure stand-up paddleboarding in First Landing State Park. Chesapean Outdoors’ experienced staff will teach the basics of paddleboarding, water safety and will lead campers on a tour of the park's various waterways to learn about the importance of oyster reefs and wetlands as well as to enjoy the wildlife spotted along the way.
     
    July 31:  A day at the beach
     
    August 1: Kayaking with Dolphins - Want more adventure? On this day of the camp, we venture out kayaking in the bay or ocean to paddle with wild, bottlenose dolphins. With over 20 years experience leading such expeditions, the knowledgeable and experienced staff at Chesapean Outdoors will educate campers on the sport of kayaking, water safety and how to safely observe wild dolphins in their natural habitat.
     
    August 2:  A day at the beach
     
    August 3: More fun in the sun! Campers will get to spend some quality time in the waves learning how to surf combined with some relaxing beach time playing a variety of fun beach games like spikeball, bocce and cornhole. The ever popular SUP SQUATCH, a giant inflatable paddle board/raft that campers can ride in the surf, will be available to add to this fun-filled day in the water and on the beach. Chesapean Outdoors’ experienced staff will provide key instruction for all the surfers and will educate campers once again on the importance of water safety.
     
     
  • Sports Zone | Grade 2 - CIT — 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

    Do you love sports but can’t pick just one? Well, this camp is for you. The possibilities are endless - volleyball, soccer, basketball, kickball, dodgeball and wiffle ball, just to name a few. Don’t be shy. Come on out and get in the game!
     
  • Golf Camp at Cedar Point Country Club | Grade 2 - CIT — 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

    Fee: $200

    Tee’em high and let ‘em fly! Campers will travel to the beautiful golf course at Cedar Point Country Club to learn how to play with the pros. Golf is a sport that you can enjoy for years. Give it a try or hone your skills this summer!

    Participants are encouraged to bring their own golf clubs. Campers should also bring a water bottle or sports drink. 
     
  • Kim Aston's Shooting Star Basketball Camp | Ages 5 - 16 — 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    Kim Aston's Shooting Star Basketball Camp emphasizes the development of fundamental skills. Daily instruction and station work are designed to encourage mastery of basic skills. The campers will be separated according to age and skill development to compete in games. Lunch will be provided for each camper.

    Come create with us this summer. Paint, perler beads, trash to treasure, tie-dye. . .the sky’s the limit for the cool things we’ll make together! Campers will produce some original work to take home to share!
     
  • Volleyball Skills | Grades 4 - 8 — 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    It’s all fun and games at summer camp! Come join us for some outdoor activities including frisbee, Kan Jam, capture the flag and more! We’ll play your favorite indoor games like floor hockey and Star Wars, too! Don’t miss the fun!

  • Hitting the Streets of Hampton Roads | Grade 2 - CIT — 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    Come see what Hampton Roads has to offer. With a field trip each day, our adventures will include, but are not limited to: miniature golf, ice skating, roller skating, movies and bowling. End the summer with countless adventures!
     
     
  • Baseball Skills | Grades 3 - 6 — 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

    Fee: $150

    NSA Baseball Skills will help campers to develop fundamental skills while having fun with friends who share the same passion for the sport. Campers will receive instruction on hitting, pitching, fielding, catching, base running and team defense to better understand the game both mentally and physically. The importance of teamwork, self-confidence and sportsmanship will also be stressed throughout the week. Please bring cleats, a glove, a bat, a helmet, sunscreen, water and/or a sports drink. Campers should wear baseball attire.
     
  • Printmaking | Grade 5 - CIT — 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

    Young artists can explore their creativity by constructing collagraph plates using a variety of textures and found objects. They will also combine the collagraph technique with basic Gelli plate printmaking techniques and some creative stamp making. The prints will be displayed in either a collage format or as individual compositions.

    NSA Field Hockey Skills is an introduction to the game of field hockey focusing on the fundamentals of the game. Campers will learnbasic skills, positions and rules while having fun! Whether you have played before or have never picked up a stick, this camp will be great for any skill or experience level. Required equipment: mouthpiece, shin guards, goggles, stick, cleats/running shoes
     
  • Outdoor Fun | Grade 2 - CIT — 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    Pack your suitcases because we’re in for a fun ride around the world! We’ll be making some cool crafts and will be playing games while learning about different cultures. We will also spend some time in the kitchen preparing food that is popular in each country.
     

EARLY REGISTRATION

Register by May 1, 2018 to receive a 10% discount per camp! Register for all 12 weeks of the Little Summer Saints camp to receive a 15% discount!

Payment Options

Early registration is encouraged. Camp sizes are limited. The following payment options are available:

  • Pay in full at the end of the registration process
  • Pay a $25 deposit for each half-day camp or a $50 deposit for each full-day camp and pay the remaining balance in monthly installments

One Way: $50 per week
Round Trip: $100 per week

Extended day options are also available.
Morning Care: 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m., $40 per week
Afternoon Care: 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., $75 per week
Morning and Extended Care: $100 per week

Drop-in service is also available and must be paid at the end of week:
Morning Care Drop-in: $10 per day
Afternoon Care Drop-in: $20 per day
