New coloring book made by children, for children, teaches Suffolk history

The Suffolk History Coloring Book is a collaboration of the Suffolk-Nansemond Historical Society and Suffolk Art League. About a dozen students participated in a weeklong camp June 26 to 30 at the Suffolk Art Gallery. Public and private middle school art teachers chose the students to write, research and illustrate the book. To continue reading the article in The Virginian-Pilot, please click here.
