Veterans and a re-load

Titus Mohler, The Suffolk News-Herald
Some new faces dot an otherwise veteran-laden roster for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s 2016 boys’ lacrosse team that has started the 2016 season 2-1. Saints coach T.W. Johnson said his team’s season has been fairly good thus far. “We’ve got a great group of kids,” he said. “I really enjoy being around this group, and I say it every year, but it’s one of the joys of working and coaching around here.”
Some of the team’s additions are new to the sport, and a big group has moved up from the NSA junior varsity team, but the varsity team as a whole has been on a consistent ascent from preseason through the third game of the season.

“Certainly I’m very proud of the progress we’ve made from the first day of practice to now,” Johnson said. “You’re seeing improvement every week.” To continue reading the article in The Suffolk News-Herald, please click here.
