Former Nansemond-Suffolk Academy lacrosse standout and honors student Holly Marie Kozak '15 has chosen law as her next big challenge.
Kozak, 22, of Portsmouth, recently graduated from Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C., as a four-year Old Dominion Athletic Conference All-Academic American and a recipient of the school’s Nereus C. English Athletic Leadership Award. A lacrosse midfielder, Kozak lettered all four years on the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy varsity team and at Guilford had her best year as a senior with 39 goals, ending her college career with 115 points in 65 games.
Kozak leaves Guilford with a 3.84 GPA, saying her B-pluses in a first year seminar course and health class prevented her from getting a perfect GPA. She heads to North Carolina-based Wake Forest University Law School in the fall and admits being strongly influenced by her father, attorney Warren D. Kozak, who also attended Guilford and Wake Forest University Law. To continue reading the article on pilotonline.com, please click here.
