Library books at Nansemond-Suffolk Academy

The libraries help students to become critical thinkers and skillful, responsible users of information. Our library and media specialists collaborate with teachers and administrators to plan, implement and evaluate instruction. The libraries provide a collection of print and electronic resources that support the curriculum and new technologies in classroom learning and research. Additionally, the libraries encourage and promote avid reading for students.

Hawks Library, Main Campus

The Hawks Library serves Upper School students in grades 9–12. The physical collection includes approximately 12,000 items which are searchable using the web-based catalog. Students may also utilize, through the Hawks Library web page, a vast virtual library of research tools and information sources. In addition, the Hawks Library serves as a meeting place for the entire NSA community.
