Winter Student-Athletes Break School Records, Earn All-Conference Honors and Win State Championship Titles

Congratulations to our winter student-athletes for their outstanding athletic achievements!

In addition to all-conference honors, three Saints were crowned TCIS champions in six events, three teams were recognized for their exemplary sportsmanship and one Saint earned two VISAA titles. The honors are listed below by sport. Go Saints!

Varsity Boys' Basketball

• Received the TCIS Betty Jean Riddick Sportsmanship Award

Varsity Girls' Basketball

• TCIS 2nd Team: Celine Waddy '26

Varsity Cheerleading

• Finished third at TCIS Cheerleading Competition
• TCIS All-Tournament Team: Maddie Fiero '28 and Addie Zydron '28

Varsity Indoor Track

• Mekenzie Gilbert '26
  • Broke her own school record in the high jump
• Miranda Hammond '28
  • Broke her own school record in the triple jump twice. The school record is now 34'7".
  • Broke NSA's record in the long jump twice. The new school record is now 16'3.5".
  • TCIS triple jump champion
  • VISAA third place finish in long jump
  • VISAA third place finish in triple jump
• Ava Rapp '28
  • Broke the school record in the 500M run twice. The previous record was held by Katie Clarke '20. The new school record is now 1:27.55.
  • Broke the school record in the 1600M run three times. The new school record is now 5:47.44.
• Jamal Thomas '26
  • Broke his own school record in the 55M hurdles twice. The school record is now 8.26.
  • Broke his own school record in the high jump twice. The school record is now 6'3".
  • Broke his own school record in the long jump. The school record is now 22'2.75".
  • Broke the school record in the triple jump. The school record is now 47' 2 1/4".

Varsity Swimming

• Preston DeFeo '27
  • Broke the school's 100 yard backstroke record with a time of 56.19. The previous record was from 2007.
  • Broke the school record in the 200 meter freestyle event with a time of 1:47.33
  • Broke the school's 200 meter IM school record from 2005. The previous school record was 2:22.81 and Preston's time was 2:19.95.
  • TCIS 100 meter freestyle champion
  • VISAA 8th place finish in 100 meter freestyle (medalist)
• Aidan DeFeo '27, Preston DeFeo '27, Aiden Ramsamooj '26 and Grant Starkey '28
  • Broke the school's 400 meter freestyle relay record from 2010. The previous record was 4:04.60. The new record is 4:01.41.
• Aidan DeFeo '27, Preston DeFeo '27, Chase Eliason '27 and Grant Starkey '28
  • Broke the school record in the 200 meter freestyle relay twice. The new school record is 1:31.14.
• Varsity Girls' Swimming received the TCIS Betty Jean Riddick Sportsmanship Award
• Varsity Boys' Swimming Team finished third at the TCIS Championship Meet
