Three NSA students have been recognized for their artistic talent.
Brooke Christy '26 received the Sharon Picot and Chip Picot Memorial Scholarship, which is available to young people in several categories in the arts, including visual, performing, musical, theatrical, literary and more. Amy Fox '28 and Ava Shepheard '29 were named as recipients of the John R. Taylor Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to young people pursuing the visual arts.
Brooke, Amy and Ava were among fifteen students selected for these awards. Students in sixth through 12th grades, whether public, private or home schooled, are eligible to apply for these scholarships to enhance their arts education and development.
Brooke will use her scholarship funds for an intensive summer dance camp. Amy will use her award for pottery classes and materials. Ava will use her scholarship winnings for art supplies.
The Suffolk Art League officials said the generous donors, members and volunteers made these scholarships possible. The mission of the organization is to remove barriers to the arts for the people of Suffolk and the surrounding areas.
Congratulations to our Saints!
