Technology Director Selected for Leadership Institute

Congratulations to Director of Technology Michele Bossick for being selected to participate in the 2021-2022 Leadership Institute sponsored by the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS).

The yearlong program began this summer. The content is designed around five leadership challenges to address the heightened awareness of the importance of technology in independent schools.

“Never has the technology team been thrust into the spotlight more than as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Christina Lewellen, ATLIS executive director. “ATLIS is proud to introduce a contemporary leadership institute designed to serve tech leaders working through today’s challenges as they unfold.”

Featuring a team-centric, blended learning approach, the institute’s five leadership challenges include:

Surveying Your School’s Technology Landscape
Innovating Effective Professional Development
Establishing Administrative Alliances
IT Infrastructure and Data Safety
Building the Team You Need

Each challenge has individual and collaborative components, and the program culminates in a capstone research and development project. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend a final in-person leadership event at the 2022 ATLIS Annual Conference in May, where they will connect and network with other technology professionals and graduates of the leadership institute.
