Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Named to Virginia Living’s List of 2025 Top Schools & Universities

Virginia Living magazine has recognized NSA for its educational excellence and innovation by selecting our school for its Top Schools and Universities 2025 guide.

The list, which is featured annually in Virginia Living, highlights the Commonwealth's top 178 schools, showcasing the institutions that are shaping the future of education across Virginia. Before they're named to the list, schools go through a rigorous selection process based on statistical data, reputable news sources and respected educational reviews.

NSA's listing highlights our school's commitment to prioritizing healthy growth in all areas of a student's life, including academic, social-emotional and physical.

"Nansemond-Suffolk Academy introduced several updates in 2024 to enrich the student experience, including a new hybrid block schedule in Middle and Upper School for deeper learning," reads the Top Schools and Universities 2025 guide. "The curriculum expanded with new courses in history, engineering, language arts and health. A partnership with the social institute promotes positive social media use, while AI learning opportunities prepare students for future technologies."

The Top Schools and Universities 2025 guide is not limited to schools like NSA. The list recognizes excellence across a diverse range of institutions, including colleges and universities, private high schools, private middle and high schools, private K–12 schools, private K–8 schools, public schools and special needs schools.
