USA Lacrosse is honoring two Saints for their accomplishments on and off the field.
Page Henry '23 was honored at a ceremony July 5 for being named a USA Lacrosse All-American and a USA Lacrosse All-Academic and for winning the USA Lacrosse Jackie Pitts Award. According to USA Lacrosse, All-American players exhibit superior skills and techniques and possess exceptional game sense and knowledge. They are the best players in their respective areas of the country and embody excellent sportsmanship. USA Lacrosse All-Academic honorees exhibit exemplary lacrosse skills and good sportsmanship on the field and represent high standards of academic achievement in the classroom. The Jackie Pitts Award recognizes high school seniors who go above and beyond in service to their team, school and community. These athletes, who truly honor the game of lacrosse, are invested in the development of the game in their town and are exemplary teammates. In addition, they must be outstanding students with high academic achievement and serve as role models within their school community. Page, who was the first NSA girls' lacrosse player to be named All-American, finished her senior season with several big highlights, including her 100th draw possession, 100th career goal and 200th career point. She was also named to the TCIS 1st Team and VISAA 1st Team. She will continue her academic and lacrosse careers next year at Christopher Newport University.
Max Russell '23 was named a USA Lacrosse All-Academic, becoming the fourth player in program history to earn the recognition.
