Community Service

The cultivation of compassionate and morally responsible citizens in our complex society is central to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's mission. To this end, an emphasis on values and Community Service has become an integral part of daily life.   In the Upper School, NSA students participate in a variety of projects and programs each year with commitments that range from weekly involvement to yearlong projects. While benefiting the community, NSA students develop their own individual leadership skills, sense of community, and self-esteem. In keeping with the school mission, NSA strives to educate the whole child... academically, physically, emotionally, socially, morally and creatively.
