There are two options for you to make the most of selling your NSA student's used textbooks this year:
1. If you purchased your books in the fall from MBS Direct, our textbook supplier, you have the option of returning them to MBS. The MBS buyback dates and times are Tuesday, May 28, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm and Thursday, May 30, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Book drop-off location for both dates is in the band room. Books will not be accepted after 1:00 pm on May 30th as MBS Direct freight pick-up will arrive by 1:30pm. MBS Direct buyback books should not be deposited in the bins in the US hallways.
2. NSA Used Book Sale is a service that the Band Program is pleased to bring back this year. Even if you bought your student books from MBS, you can turn them in to the NSA Used Book Sale. Students need to fill out a label, available from teachers or the front office, and affix it to the cover of each book to be sold. Students then deposit the books into the blue bins located in the hallways around the Upper School. Books will be rated into four categories: 1) Excellent, sold with a 20% discount off the brand new price; 2) Good, sold for 30%; 3) Fair, sold for 40%; 4) Poor, sold for 50%. The Band Program receives 20% of the final sale to help cover the costs of providing the used book sale. The NSA Used Book Sale will be held Wednesday, June 5, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 6, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the band room.
If you turn in books and the don't sell this year, they will be entered into the sale next year. You can request a check for books that are sold or you can apply the amount to your student(s) tuition. Families of seniors selling books without younger siblings at NSA will automatically receive a check.
Thank you in advance for your support of the NSA Used Book Sale!
