Sec 6.7 (part 1) “Permutations and Combinations” OBJ: TLW understand the differences between permutations and combinations; understand and evaluate factorial notation. HW: p 342 #1-31 odd.

Sec 6.7(part 2) OBJ: TLW evaluate combination, permutation, and factorial notation with a calculator; reinforce the previously stated objectives. HW: p 342-343 #39-61 odd.

Sec 8.3(part 1) “ Logarithmic Functions As Inverses” OBJ: TLW understand the definition of a logarithm; write exponentials in equivalent logarithm form, write logarithms in equivalent exponential form; evaluate logarithms; use logarithms in real-world applications. HW: p 441-442 #1-33 odd.

Sec 8.3(part 2) OBJ: TLW evaluate logarithms with a calculator, use the Change-of-Base Formula. HW: p 442-443 #53-61 odd, 84-88, p 456 #19-25 odd.

Sec 10.3(part 1) “Circles” OBJ: TLW understand and use the standard form equation of a circle; write the equation of a circle given the coordinates of the center and the radius; manually graph circles. HW: p 552-553 #3-13 odd, 19-23 odd, 27-31 odd,

Sec 10.3(part 2) OBJ: TLW reinforce the previously stated objectives, graph circles with the calculator. HW: p 553 #35, 37, 45-51 odd, 55-61 follow instructions and also graph each circle with a calculator.
