Community Service

With NSA's emphasis on character development for all students, community service is an integral component of life in the Lower School. All grade levels participate at least once each year in some sort of community service project. Students visit local nursing homes, do yard work for elderly area residents, purchase gifts for local Angel Tree projects, sponsor coat drives, organize drives for pet food for the animal shelter, assist with distribution of Toys for Toys, serve meals at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen, just to name a few projects completed in recent years. The entire school participates in the Suffolk area Relay for Life that is held on our campus each May and annually is one of the top fundraisers, raising upwards of $20,000 each year.
