ProQuest

ProQuest is an online information service that provides access to hundreds of current periodicals and newspapers, many updated daily and containing full-text articles from 1986. This service includes the Virginian-Pilot and Richmond Times-Dispatch.

GaleNet

Biography Resource Center:
combines award-winning biographies from respected Gale Group sources as well as full-text articles from hundreds of periodicals.

Literature Resource Center:
provides access to biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of authors from every age and literary discipline.

Opposing Viewpoints:
provides a complete one-stop source for information on social issues. Includes access to viewpoint articles, topic overviews, statistics, primary documents, links to web sites, and full-text magazine and newspaper articles.

ABC-CLIO

ABC-CLIO, a publisher of educational and reference products, focuses on history and social studies resources for scholars, students, teachers, and librarians in universities and secondary schools. These databases combine reference, curriculum, and current events which are updated daily. 25 ebooks on each of the following subjects are accessible through the databases.

Logins and passwords are the same for all of the ABC-CLIO databases.

American Government:
a comprehensive Web site offering historical and contemporary resources on our nation's government and political system. Contains more than 10,000 reference entries, current government news, features, and commentaries, and interactive topic explorations for students.

World Book Online Reference Center

World Book Online Reference Center includes every article from its 22-volume print encyclopedia and over 9000 pictures. A thousand documents are added every month. Search results include Articles, an Atlas, Tables, Sounds, 3-D Bubble Views, Pictures, Videos & Animations, Back in Time Articles, and Special Reports. In addition, dictionary access to more than 248,000 definitions of terms is available by double-clicking on any word in the main text of the encyclopedia.

Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia:
The Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia is based on the text of the Academic American Encyclopedia. SIRS Discoverer
