FAMILY ASSESSMENT - Campus Fund
Upon enrolling their first child at NSA, each family is required to pay a $3,000 fee for the Campus Fund.
The Campus Fund is generally used for major repairs to buildings, grounds and other physical assets of the school. The fee may be paid in a lump sum or, for additional fees, may be extended over a 2 through 6 year period.
REGISTRATION FEE
A “per student” registration fee is paid annually when the enrollment contract is submitted. This charge is non-refundable and is not part of tuition charges.

LOWER SCHOOL – BOOK & CLASS FEES
- Students in Kindergarten through Grade 7 are charged a field trip fee. This fee varies by grade.
- Students in grade 5 are required to purchase a 5th grade social studies book, which is used again in grade 6.
- Students in grade 7 are required to purchase a 7th grade social studies book, which is used again in Grade 8.
- Students in grades 6 & 7 are required to purchase a gym uniform for their physical education classes.
- Any 6th or 7th graders in Band are charged a band class fee and are responsible for either purchasing their instrument or renting one through the school.
- Any 6th or 7th graders in Chorus are charged a chorus class fee and are responsible for purchasing choral attire through the school.
UPPER SCHOOL – BOOK & CLASS FEES
Students in Grades 8 through 12 are required to purchase textbooks which are distributed by teachers on the first day of class. The cost of books, plus fees associated with special classes such as AP courses, photography, band, chorus and physical education, are billed by the Business Office prior to October 1, 2008.
FAMILY TUITION DISCOUNTS
There is a discount of $1,000 for the 3rd child and $1,500 for each additional child enrolled within the same family at the same time.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Need based financial assistance is available. Applications should be made through the Admissions Office by March 31.

- MORNING CARE is available for Early School 3 through Grade 7 from 7:00 am to 8:00 am in the Camp Gymnasium. Charge for this service is $475 for the entire year. Block pricing and drop-in rates are not available for this service.
TRANSPORTATION
Bus transportation is available to students in the Early School 4 Year Program through Grade 12.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
The following payment options are provided:

Payment of entire tuition/charges due on or before August 1st, 2008. |
| SEMI-ANNUAL Plan – +$200 per year |

Payment of ½ of entire tuition/charges is due on or before August 1st, 2008 with remainder paid by January 15th, 2009. There is a $100 fee added to each payment for participation in this plan. |
| MONTHLY Automatic-Debit Plan – +$250 per year |

Payment of tuition/charges may be made in (10) monthly installments (August 2008 through May 2009), which are automatically debited from individual bank accounts on the 17th of the month. There is a $25 fee added to each payment for participation in this plan. |
LATE PAYMENT
- In the event that payment is not received within (15) days of its due date, there will be a late charge of 5% of the total amount due.
- In the event of default of the payment of any installment, in addition to paying any late charge, the patron will be charged interest on the unpaid balance of 1% per month from the date of default plus all costs of collection and legal fees.
- In the event of default, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy has the right to demand total payment of any remaining balance and/or withdrawal of the student from Nansemond-Suffolk Academy.
