NSA GRADUATES 78 SENIORS

Suffolk, VA June 6, 2009- Weeklong festivities culminated Saturday with the graduation of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s Class of 2009. Valedictorian, Alexander Stamatios Dakos and Salutatorian, Skylar Norman White, joined NSA alumnus, Mr. J. Carney Hawks ’92 and Head of School, Colley W. Bell III, to offer words of wisdom to the 78 seniors who would gather one last time as high school students.

Douglas C. Naismith Leadership Award, given in honor of Dr. Douglas C. Naismith, President of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy from 1989-2005. The Douglas C. Naismith Cup is awarded each year to the senior who has exhibited the leadership and dedication to excellence characteristic of Dr. Naismith’s tenure as President of the Academy:

Pre-graduation festivities began on May 22nd with the Senior Day Awards Ceremony followed by the Alumni Association Senior Breakfast and Baccalaureate Service held Friday, June 5th.
